Welcome to the first chapter of this guide.
In this part we are going to build a SCROG* net directly on the grow tent’s metal frame.
For this part you’ll need a grow tent, 2 x PVC tubes, 2 x “T” PVC corner, a plastic gardening and metallic net, a bunch of plastic zip ties and a wire cutter.
*SCROG: Screen of Green
Start by unpacking your grow tent bag.
Take out the metal tubes, the plastic corners and the instruction guide that comes with it.
If your structure is way different than this one, follow it.
If it’s the same throw it away, those following gifs will make it easy for you.
Plug the 4 corners to the metal tubes, this will be the base of your grow tent.
Take the vertical structure metal tubes and put a “T” shaped PVC corner over each one.
Plug the PVC tube in one of the corner to cut it make it fit.
Cut it and plug it.
You should have something like this.
Take out the PVC tube you just cut and take it as a reference to cut a second PVC tube at the same size.
Cut 2 more PVC tubes at the same length.
Now plug a “T” shaped PVC corner on each edge of your PVC tubes.
Now take out your plastic gardening net (and scratch the cat if you have one).
Roll out your plastic gardening net and put the base of the structure over it.
Take your wire cutter and start cutting your net at about 1 cm of the metal structure, this will be used as a reference.
Now to the same on the other side.
Take out the base.
Now cut all the way using your pre-made references.
Now take out your solid net and put it over your pre-cut plastic gardening net.
This will be used to build the structure for the lights on the second chapter.
Cut it at the same size.
Now put back the base of the metal structure on the table and put a pvc tubes with corners on each side.
This is starting to look good.
Zip tie your plastic gardening net to the pvc tubes, like this.
On both sides.
Now add a second zip tie attached to the “T” shaped PVC corner.
Now zip tie all the way to strengthen your SCROG net.
We’re nearly finished.
Cut all the extra plastic on every zip ties to make it clean.
Bravo ! You have a SCROG net !
Now let’s pass on to the lights structure.
