The bottom bucket only needs 2 things, intake holes, and wheels.

step108.gif

#1-1

Take the lower bucket and flip it upside-down, put the small one on top of it. We’ll use that as a reference to do the intake holes. “

step109.gif

#1-2

Place marks with the driller, the point is that the small bucket will be at the center, and we have to put the intake holes next to it, it should not shut the holes.

step110.gif

#1-3

Make holes, plenty of them.

step111-web.jpg
step112.gif

A little more…

step113-web.jpg

Should be ok.

Please take some time to admire our temporary pet, the wasp. His name is “get the fuck out the frame”.

step114-web.jpg

Ok, this should be good.

step115.gif

#1-4

Now we’re doing the same on the other side.

step116.gif

bzee bzee bzee bzee bzee …

step117-web.jpg

Yeah I’m a perfectionist, I like to have things symmetrical.

step118.gif

#2-1

Now that we’re at it, lets add marks around the pvc tubes. We’ll need that later.

step119.gif

#2-2

On both sides.

step220-web.jpg
step221-web.jpg

Now it should look something like this.

step222-web.jpg

#3-1

We always add wheels to small grow boxes at the lab, it’s quite mandatory actually, as we put the intakes under the bucket, we need some space for air to get in.

step223.gif

#3-2

Put them in place as reference.

They need to be on a flat surface !

So we had to put them a little at the center, should not impact balance, there will we 10L of soil + water, that’s like 20kg, gravity center is going to be way down the bottom of it.

step224-web.jpg
step226-web.jpg

#3-2

Now glue them in place, start by putting glue under the wheel, then add more around, that should be way enough for the purpose.

step227.gif
step228-web.jpg
step229-web.jpg

And here we are !

We’re getting really close to putting some sweet babe in there :P

step1.jpg
step2.jpg

#4-1

Now we’ll use some foam to do lock pads for the small bucket, to prevent it from moving once in there.

Use a pen to draw a shape that would fit the purpose.

We make 2 pads per pvc tubes, but the small bucket should be able to fit between them, read forward to get a better picture.

step3.jpg
step4.jpg

#4-2

Cut some foam at the right size.

step5.jpg
step7.gif

We want to place them so that the hole is on the edges.

step6.jpg
step8.gif

#4-3

Ok now it’s time to glue them in place.

step9.gif

Apply glue and place them. Remember that they should be placed with the hole on there edge.

step10.gif
step11.gif

Try it.

Both pvc tubes should fit between the foam parts.
