We’ll start by building the inside of the space bucket.

It’s composed of a small bucket, and a vertical scrog.
Scrogging is the art of getting your plant in a specific shape, in order to maximize yield. It’s usually done as a horizontal net, same principle here, just vertical, we have much more space vertically than horizontally.

The point with vertical scrogging in tight spaces, is that it gives you a much bigger illuminated surface.
And allows to cheat ambient light that leds are missing. (more on that later)

Step1.jpg

#1-1

Cut the pvc tubes at the right length, it should be about as high as the 2 big buckets (minus 3 cm) on top of each other.

step2-compressed-web.gif

Pro tip: use tape to mark the right height.

step3-web.jpg

#1-2

Get yourself a third hand or call a buddy to hold the tube and get a proper cut.

step4-web.jpg

#1-3

Cut the second pvc tube, using your first as a reference.

step6-web.jpg

#2-1

Now we’re going to create the top of the scrog structure.

The top of the scrog structure should be the same size as the big buckets diameter.

Mark with tape as in step 2.

step7-web.jpg

#2-2

Cut.

step5-web.jpg

#2-3

Now you have 2 long pvc tubes and one short.

Put the pvc corners on both long pvc tubes.

Then add the short one between to form a “U”.

step8-compressed-web.gif

#2-4

Test: you should be able to put the top big bucket on top of the scrog structure.

If not, cut few cm of the pvc tube.

step8bis-web.jpg

#3-1

Now we want to attach the V-Scrog structure we just made to the small bucket.

The picture shows where we will make the notches on both sides, between both handles, if any.

The notch should be at least the width on your pvc tubes.

step9bis.gif

#3-2

The simplest way we found was by using a cutting plier.

step10bis.jpg

It should look something like this.

step10.gif

*Orgasm

step9-web.jpg

#4-1

Now we need to fix the scrog’s structure to the water tank with zip ties.

The bottom hole should not be too low because this bucket will be partly filled with water.

step11.gif

#4-2

Do them holes.

step12-web.jpg

Pro tip: Guide yourself by holding the pvc tube.

step13.gif

Bzzzeeeeeee

step14.gif

#5-1

Pass the zip ties in the holes, but don’t tighten them too much, the pvc tubes should still be able to get through.

Pro tip: put the “head” of the zip tie inside by starting from the inside.

step15-web.jpg

Not too tight. Like this.

Bitch.

step16.gif

#5-2

Pass both pvc tubes through the zip ties.

Tighten the zip ties.

Enjoy.

step18.gif

#5-3

Make that clean.

step19-web.jpg

Now you should be with something like that.

step20-web2.jpg

If it’s like this don’t worry it will be tightened up in the next steps

step21-web.jpg

#6-1

Now take the upper pvc tuve o the structure.

Remove the top of the vertical scrog, we’ll use that as a reference.

step22-web.jpg

#6-2

Using the top of the scrog sructure, cut the scrog’s net.

The part you are cutting should fit in, with a few cm of padding.

step23-large.gif

Cut it all the way for now. We’ll work on the length on the next step.

step24-web.jpg

Now the point is to find the right length for the scrog.

We want it to be hanging at the top of our pot.

Can be few cm above tho.

#6-3

Put the pot in the small bucket, we’ll use it as reference.

Then put the scrog’s net so that it touches the pot.

No problem if it goes higher than the scrog’s structure at that point.

step27.gif

#6-4

Cut the scrog’s net at the top of the vertical scrog’s structure.

step28.jpg

#6-5

Now put back the top of the vertical scrog on the pvc structure..

step29.gif

#6-6

Tighten the whole thing with zip ties, this is where it gets solid.

step30-web.jpg

Yay you finished the inside of your space bucket !

Celebrate with a joint. You’re awesome.
