Let’s add a brain to our tv-bench !

It’ll do stuff like:

  • Configure everything from an app or a computer

  • Setup light schedules

  • Blower and fans power

  • Connect sensors, like temperature/humidity/etc…

  • Create cool dashboards to monitor when you’re not home

  • Gives cool alerts for when things go wrong (temperature out of range, power outtage etc…)

Btw, if you’re a software dev, the code is here, it’s in constant evolution now, but we have it turned on 24/24 in multiple boxes.

Alright, grab the main board.

This one’s a SuperGreenDriver, it has the main advantage to be totally integrated and plug-and-play. No need to buy additional drivers, you can go up to 6 led panels on this one.

Place it under the fans against the wall and mark the holes with a pen.

step90.mp4.gif

Get the driller and make the holes, they should just be big enough to get zip ties through them.

step91-web.jpg
step92.mp4.gif

Get the driver and zip ties.

Place the driver in place and add the zip ties through it.

step93-web.jpg

Now it should hold in place. Get to the other side of the bench.

step94.mp4.gif

Use other zip-ties to tighten everything.

And cut the zip tie tails.

step95.jpg

Clean.

step96.mp4.gif

Ok so now we have to make a rather quite large hole.

On swedish furniture, the back panel is quite thin, so you should be able to use the drille like a CNC head.

Or just use a driller with a big-enough drill wick.

step97-web.jpg

So we got a discontinuity error here, then step where we plug everything is just below.

step98.mp4.gif

Get the blower and power wires through the hole.

step100.mp4.gif

Plug everything in, the blower and fans plugs are indicated on the board.

Then plug the main power plug.

step101.mp4.gif

If it does not light up for you, don’t worry.

You should at least have the blower and fans on.

step102.mp4.gif

Cable management yay !

Get them zip ties.

step104.mp4.gif
step105.mp4.gif
step106-web.jpg

I’m not that good at cable management. But at least it should prevent snatching a wire with a plant or something..
