How to assemble the vertical carbon filter.

Insert the honeycomb shape in the carbon filter container.

Add carbon pellets

You can now pour a bit of carbon pellets in the container.
 
Make sure all of the honeycomb shape holes are filled with carbon pellets.

Make sure you don't go higher than the honeycomb shapce.
 
The carbon filter doesn't need to be over-filled to function, it's important that the air can go through each layer easily.

Add a foam layer

Now add a small layer of foam, any one will do, make sure the air goes through easily.
 
The point of this layer is to keep the pellets place and to allow the air to spread to avoid straight lines.

Stack both layers

Stack both layers

Now do the same of the other container. Then stack then together.
 
This is not mandatory if you have no smell issues, like during veg for example.

Add top layer

Now add the top layer to the carbon filter stack.

Glue duct in place

Now use a bit of cyanoacrylate glue (ie. loctite or superglue) to keep the duct in place.
 
No need to put too much, just a few drop in each corners should be enough. Then press the duct in place a few seconds.

Add zip ties

Insert the zip ties in the small holes on both sides.

Use two other zip ties to lock them in place.
 
Just cut the head of each zip ties and use the head alone as shown on the picture.
